Diamond Dogs, mount up!

The Diamond Dogs in Ted Lasso had a simple purpose: someone had a knot they couldn’t untie, they called the group, the group told the truth, and everyone left lighter and a part of a group that they can trust.

​

I am starting this group because, as a counselor and as just a person in the world, watching Ted Lass helped me to remember the importance of having a group of people who "have your back" really matters - a group that can both help you understand yourself better, and gives you a chance to do the same for others. This group is not focused on solving all problems or "digging up" what is wrong with you. It will be a place to embrace the best parts of us, and to keep working on how to be the people we want to be.

In general, in this group...

• You bring whatever feels “stuck” in life (work, dating, family, etc.)

• We listen first.

• We ask the questions your friends and family can’t or don’t ask

• We offer honest takes and feedback, not fixes you didn’t ask for.

• You get a chance to support a group of others who want and need the same

 

Like the Diamond Dogs could talk about awkward things without making it weird or a lecture, we'll keep it simple, respectful, straight to the point, and focused on what we really need as individuals and as a group.
